CBSE Class 10 Social Science Important Questions and Answers for 2023-24
The important questions given in this article are provided as per the latest question paper format:
- The Question paper would comprise of Six Sections – A, B, C, D, E and F. There would be 37 questions in the CBSE Class 10 Social Science question paper 2022-23. All questions are compulsory for students to attempt.
- Section A will have questions 1 to 20 which will be in MCQ format of 1 mark each.
- Section B will have question number 21 to 24 in Very Short Answer Type format, carrying 2 marks each. Answer to each question should not exceed 40 words.
- Section C contains Questions 25 to 29 in Short Answer Type Question format, carrying 3 marks each. Answer to each question should not exceed 60 words
- Section D has Questions 30 to 33 as long answer type questions, carrying 5 marks each. Answer to each question should not exceed 120 words.
- Section-E contains questions numbers 34 to 36 as case based questions with three sub questions and, carrying 4 marks each.
- Section F will have Question no. 37 which will be map based, carrying 5 marks with two parts, 37a from History (2 marks) and 37b from Geography (3 marks).

Students must be aware that this year for the CBSE Exams 2024, 40% of questions in the class 10 exams are expected to be competency-based with multiple formats such as Objective Type, Constructing Response Type, Assertion, and Reasoning and Case-Based.
