NEET Supreme Court Hearing Today LIVE: The Apex Court has postponed the hearing for petitions regarding the irregularities and malpractices that happened during NEET UG 2024 and their demand for re-examination. On Wednesday, the Centre informed the Supreme Court that no abnormality was found in NEET UG Results 2024. Also, there was no sign of mass malpractice or localised set the examinees getting benefits from the leak.
The Bench led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud inquired about the steps taken by centre and NTA to recognise the beneficiary candidates. SC also instructed both of them to submit affidavits by July 10, 2024, up to 5:00 PM.

“The fact that the sanctity of the examination has been breached… compromised, is beyond doubt. Now the question is how widespread is the breach,” Chandrachud said while hearing petitions of aspirants asking for or against the cancellation of the NEET UG 2024 exams held on May 5, 2024.
“If we are not able to identify candidates who are guilty of wrongdoing, the retest has to be ordered. If you can’t distinguish the grain from the chaff, tainted from the untainted, it has to be ordered…,” Chandrachud said.

The Supreme Court delayed the trial for the NEET UG 2024 'paper leak' case until July 18. This delay was due to the court's decision, made by Chief Justice I, that some involved parties had not yet been provided with the affidavits submitted by the Centre and NTA. The court emphasised the importance of these parties reviewing the responses thoroughly before proceeding with their legal arguments.
