Anything can happen in the world of politics. Recently, President Joe Biden was challenged by former President Donald Trump. Interestingly, the challenge is not related to political talents, but rather to a golf match!
Yes, during a speech at a rally at the Doral course situated in Florida, former president Donald Trump challenged President Joe Biden to a golf match. The details do not end here, Mr. Trump also said that should he get defeated in the match by Biden, he would donate $1 million to the charity of the choice of Biden. This comes after a heated argument between the two around their golf handicaps.
“I’m also officially challenging crooked Joe to an 18-hole golf match right here on Doral’s Blue Monster, considered one of the greatest tournament golf courses anywhere in the world, one of the great courses of the world,” former president Donald Trump expressed.
A golf match between the current President and a former President will be a hit event, and the challenger is certain of it.
“It will be among the most-watched sporting events in history. Maybe bigger than the Ryder Cup or even the Masters,” said Trump.
The former president did not stop but continued to provide the details of his intent, saying that he would be giving Mr. Biden 10 strokes a side. "Ten strokes, that’s a lot. That means 20 strokes, in case you don’t play golf. And if he wins, I will give the charity of his choice, any charity of his choice, $1 million. And I’ll bet you he doesn’t take the offer," expressed Mr. Trump.
"Weird Antics"- Mr. Biden responds.
The golf challenge by Trump to Biden was declined by the latter. James Singer, the spokesperson of Mr. Biden remarked, “Donald Trump hasn’t been seen in public for 12 days, now he’s inviting fictional serial killers to dinner, teasing lil’ Marco Rubio, praising Project 2025 architect Tom Homan, and challenging the President of the United States to golf.”
Furthermore, the spokesperson turned down the golf challenge by Mr. Trump to Mr. Biden on behalf of the latter.
“Joe Biden doesn’t have time for Donald Trump’s weird antics – he’s busy leading America and defending the free world. Donald Trump is a liar, a convict, and a fraud only out for himself – par for the course,” Singer added.

A counter-challenge from the President?
Not really, but as a response to the golf challenge by Mr. Trump, James Singer added, “We’d challenge Donald Trump to create jobs, but he lost 3 million. We’d challenge Donald Trump to stand up to Putin, but he bent the knee to him. We’d challenge Donald Trump to follow the law, but he breaks it. We’d challenge Donald Trump to not destroy our country, but that’s all his Project 2025 aims to do.”
The golf handicap debate
It was during the presidential debate held on June 27 that the golf handicap debate sparked. During the debate, Trump claimed that he had successfully won two club championships. He further raised questions about Mr. Biden's ability to actually drive a ball 50 yards.
In response, Biden expressed that he had a six handicap at first. However, he later corrected the number to eight.
On this, Trump voiced his skepticism, and called it the "biggest lie."
A proposal for hosting the golf match arrived from Bryson DeChambeau. The current US Open champion proposed to host the match on his YouTube channel in order to resolve the heated golf handicap debate.
